some more updates:

here's a quote from the inspector handling the case:
"You will get the tapes back, but they are being held in the property
room as evidence. I will release them as soon as possible."

This was on the 22nd of May, nothing new yet.


I can't put any more details out yet, since the case is still pending and I've been asked to keep it quiet for the time being. I don't actually have many more details anyway, so you're not missing much.

Whats happened to the guy??

new update from my liaison from the police department:

"[my thief] has indeed been in custody. He was brought in on 8-29. He was
transferred to the WH in September where he has been since. His current
out
date is 12-12-09 but they are working on getting him in to a treatment
facility but one away from the metro area. It is also stated he must
follow
through with after care including sober housing which should mean he
isn't back in your area for at least the next 6 months. "

So Jari, if you are still out there, at least he's gone to jail for the crime he committed against you and I, but I have yet to have any of the items returned to me.
