A later version was recorded during the Clay Records years and appears on the 7″ and 12″ versions of the ‘Break’ single in 1984, the Singles 1982-85 compilation, the 1992 Resurrection collection and the 2007 From The Promised Land re-issue. In the depths of misery
Lies a bond that joins us all
Repulsion to moralist
Seduction to the fool
We’re dancing with emotions
A game of cut and thrust
At home amongst the debris
Devoid of man’s own trust
Blood stains pleasure
Blood stains pleasure
Bloodstains
Drawn towards extremities
Where normal people shy
Pain becomes my pleasure
These feelings don’t apply
I’m driven on by an inner movement
Common to one and all
For some it starts as nightmares
For others it’s so much more
Blood stains pleasure
Blood stains pleasure
Bloodstains
In the depths of misery
Lies a bond it joins us all
Repulsion to you scientists
Seduction to us fools
I’m dancing I said dancing
The game is cut and thrust
The pain the pleasure
Lust
Blood stains pleasure
Blood stains pleasure
Blood stains
It’s pleasure
It’s lust
