The sun beats down on my back
A gentle breeze on the wings of tequila
You find yourself incognito
A strange man in a foreign land
Hey look at the stranger
This is where your troubles begin
The lipstick boys are smiling
Straight kicks for the complex man
And we sang
My fate was calling
I lived a lie
For I was guilty
Took for a ride
You could see it in all of their faces
I was ready with my compromise
Take a ride in an elevator
Cut the rhythm scratch the eye
I watch the guilty embrace their lover
A passing look and a sharp goodbye
Oh I was crazy oh so crazy
I touched the petals of something fine
And we sang
My fate was calling
I lived a lie
For I was guilty
Took for a ride
Took for a ride
We sang
My fate was calling
I lived a lie
For I was guilty
Took for a ride
We were the guilty
We were the guilty
Took for a ride
And we were guilty
We were the guilty
Took for a ride
And we were guilty
