I sit and watch the porcelain machine
Blow all the paper men so far away
This lover needs a servant she can talk to
Indulging in the pleasures on display
This is the first time
This is the first time
I’ve watched the rain
This is the first time
This is the first time
I’ve watched the rain
Electric echoes charging through frustration
Few flowers grow amidst the poison thorns
I’m constantly a prisoner to restriction
When searching for the life raft in the storm
This is the first time
This is the first time
I’ve watched the rain
This is the first time
This is the first time
I’ve watched the rain
This is the first time
This is the first time
Pale fire
This is the first time
This is the first time
Pale fire
Tears are spared when stalking all that’s precious
Your marble face will never cast you astray
My life’s consumed by constant rearrangement
We’re living in the truth of yesterday
This is the first time
This is the first time
I’ve watched the rain
This is the first time
This is the first time
I’ve watched the rain
This is the first time
This is the first time
Pale fire
This is the first time
This is the first time
Pale fire
