The conflicts rise in every vein
The constant turmoil turned to pain
Saint or sinner which was he?
Our separate world was never free
Effigy
Oh effigy
Effigy of man
Effigy of man
With sex and alcohol escape was support
The years of anguish bought no reward
Believing suicide as his only key
He set down plans that would set him free
Magic theatre seemed to answer it all
Provide the fee to pass through the door
Amongst his dreams the answer came
The mind had the key to the final game
Effigy
Oh effigy
Effigy of man
