As problems grow with every day
The silence plots its course
An empty void all love has gone
The sorrow screams remorse
The current state a backward trend
Our faith begins to fold
The gear revolves another notch
The poison takes a hold
The poison takes a hold
The poison takes a hold
Time neglects to heal the wound
That lies behind closed doors
Life is just a hollow place
That fails to find its course
Dreams and goals dissolve to dust
Existence must be cold
The penny drops all hope is stopped
When the poison takes a hold
The poison takes a hold
The poison takes a hold
The poison takes a hold
The poison takes a hold
The problem fades and slips away
Within a pool of dreams
Reflections hide within our hearts
And mingle with the screams
Release can never come too soon
The only path is gold
Is death the only single chance
When the poison takes a hold
The poison takes a hold
The poison takes a hold
The poison takes a hold
The poison it takes a hold
