On a hill in the East
The people flock just to see their priest
They wait all day in the heat
To bow down just to kiss his feet
Pray to Mecca
Pray to Mecca
Pray to Mecca
Pray
To show their love they bring him gifts
The people walk but the children skip
They join hands to feel as one
To pray together for the new way to come
Pray to Mecca
Pray to Mecca
Pray to Mecca
Pray
On a hill in the East
The people flock just to see their priest
They wait all day in the heat
To bow down just to kiss his feet
He tells them stories to change their lives
No idle promises he never lies
Their conscience clean when they leave
Back to the system but they feel free
Pray to Mecca
Pray to Mecca
Pray to Mecca
Pray
Pray
Pray
Pray
Pray
