I’m stepping out of greyness into black and white
I’m tired of being the thin man shying from the light
I’m living on desire these pleasure stakes are high
I’m dodging round the corpses who feed me full of lies
We’re painting pictures
We’re painting pretty pictures
Look how they shine
We’re jumping out of rhythm
Stepping out of time
Shine
The poor man’s apparition the truth they never told
They’re searching for the rainbow and that little pot of gold
They’re smashing the illusion instilled in them since birth
They’re peeling off the bondage that binds them to this earth
We’re painting pictures
We’re painting pretty pictures
Look how they shine
We’re jumping out of rhythm
Stepping out of time
Shine
Shine
We’re painting pretty pictures
Look how they shine
We’re jumping out of rhythm
Stepping out of time
Shine
Shine
Shine
